Contexto Filmes

This website is very special to me. It started out small, with the owner doing only freelance work. He is a small video producer who always dreamed of telling people’s stories in short films.

The first website was more of a portfolio, then the business grew a bit, and more types of videos were included in his services. Today, he has partners and a team, produces documentaries, videos for brands and covers events, but always following his essence of telling people’s stories.

Every now and then, he comes up with ideas, changes, new opportunities, and as a web designer, I find it very rewarding to be able to be part of his growth story and be present at every stage of its development.

Before starting the first website, I also developed the branding.

The idea for the business started with the goal of telling stories, creating documentaries that showed something personal about the interviewee, and he has a great appreciation for old cameras and the history of film production.

That’s why I came up with the idea of incorporating a speech bubble representing the modern side of the business, along with the older square camera.

The site mixes modern and old elements, where I use flat icons, geometric shapes, images and short films with old cameras.
I also added depth and movement with some elements like mouse track, video carousel and parallax.
